Spider Lily Eco-Tour, May 30

Paddle through the largest colony of Rocky Shoals Spider Lilies in the world with the Catawba Riverkeeper. Bring a boat and join us on the water! The tour will be led by the Catawba Riverkeeper and some of Clean Air Carolina will be there. There will be a brief stop in the middle of the spider lilies to have a picnic (bring your own snack) and have a short presentation about the ecology of the spider lilies.

The Spider Lily Eco-Tour travels along Landsford Canal and allows participants to see and experience the magnificence of the endangered Rocky Shoals Spider Lilies that make their home in the middle of the Catawba River. The rare flowers enter peak blooming period for only one month (early May to early June). So, please join us for an experience of a lifetime!

This event is FREE to Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation members. There is a suggested donation of $25 per person for non-members. Don’t Have a Kayak? That’s okay, you can rent one! For more information visit the Catawba Riverkeeper website.
